To start with the duration of the meditation isn’t really important. What is important is the consistency of your meditation practice.
So instead of meditating for a long period, and doing this for a week and then taking a break for a few weeks, what you really want to do, is practicing meditation for five to ten minutes a time but practice on a daily basis.
Easy is best. There are so many different ways to meditate, pick one that you like. When you start off, simple is always the ideal.
If you don’t have to remember a lot the more you can ease into your meditation practice.
