Sometimes it can be difficult to work out what’s normal and what is not when it comes to accurately assessing your level of stress. This is especially true if you’ve been been living with a fair degree of pressure for a long time. Because what exactly is normal? And let’s face it being a mom means there’s always something to be stressed or anxious about. It could be a problem your child is having at school fitting in with their classmates, or not being able to get a babysitter on Saturday night to go to your mom’s birthday celebration, or jam handprints on your new cream sweater which you felt was too high-priced but you purchased it anyway, or guests unexpectedly dropping by in the middle of an argument you are having with one of your children about playing computer games instead of doing their homework, or…one of a million other things.

Relieve Stress and Be More Productive Author: Editor
There is no denying that moms are excellent at multi-tasking but you have to make sure that multi-tasking doesn’t become another word for distracted. There is tiny comfort in being able to do many tasks if you cannot actually complete any of them. So what can you do? Get some systems in place. For example, you could stack all the papers to be recycled in one spot and place them in the recycling bin weekly. Set up a bill folder and place all bills into it as soon as you get them and then check it once a week for any bills that need paying that week. Put invitation details and RSVP dates in your diary and then check it at the beginning of everyday.Or you could set up an intray in the kitchen. All bills, correspondence and invitations that need to be dealt with go in there and then make a habit of checking it each day or at the beginning of each week.
