Think of something you find resting and calming.  It could be rocking your (sleeping or almost sleeping) baby, taking a swift stroll, doing a crossword puzzle, raking the leaves, and imagine that you are doing it.  Make sure your mind is quiet and calm and you’re focused on exactly what it is you’re imaginging doing.  Focus also on each breath you take.  Feel your body, your fingers and toes and notice how your shoulders feel.  Are they tensed up around your ears?  Do you’ve any aches or niggling pains?  As you breathe out concentrate on relaxing those parts of your body where you have tension.
