Relieve Stress and Be More Productive    Author: Editor

There is no denying that moms are excellent at multi-tasking but you have to make sure that multi-tasking doesn’t become another word for distracted.  There is tiny comfort in being able to do many tasks if you cannot actually complete any of them.  So what can you do?  Get some systems in place.  For example, you could stack all the papers to be recycled in one spot and place them in the recycling bin weekly.  Set up a bill folder and place all bills into it as soon as you get them and then check it once a week for any bills that need paying that week.  Put invitation details and RSVP dates in your diary and then check it at the beginning of everyday.Or you could set up an intray in the kitchen.  All bills, correspondence and invitations that need to be dealt with go in there and then make a habit of checking it each day or at the beginning of each week.

Have a broken toy basket and put a container of ‘tools’ to repair them with nearby - you’ll need things in there like all purpose adhesive, a small screwdriver, adhesive tape, blu tac etc.  Train your kids to put their dirty clothes in the washing basket when they take them off.  Or keep a dress up box where all costumes are kept somewhere central and wash the contents once a month.

These are just a few things you can do.  I’m sure you will be able to think of many more once you focus on it.
