Chronic stress is highly popular this day. I don’t think that many rational people actually seek to become stressed unless they’ve got a few screws lose or something.

Much of the time we do things that bring stress onto ourselves. Let me explain a bit here. Whenever you volunteer for additional duties and assignments at work, just to make a name for yourself or to develop keen insights into what’s required to make the next step up, you’re volunteering for additional stress.

Now just think about that for a moment. Isn’t this really why you want or need to reduce your stress, because you want results. This is really all that matters at the end of the day. When you art tucking you kids into bed they want the results of you attention. That little peace of time that for you is so tough to give. Why, not because you don’t love them. Heck, you prove that every time you go to work. That’s real love.

What you can do is decide to set aside some time before you go to bed. I used to work on my computer all the way up to the time i went to sleep. This is not wise, because as we’ve stated before your body needs that time to just shut down and disengage with stimuli. So, insert perhaps, 10 to 20 minutes of just relaxing before you actually get in bed to rest.
